Why should you consider building an ADU?

1. Increase Property and Resale Value

Increasing the value of your property is the most common reason homeowners build an ADU. The property value overall will benefit massively from the amount required to construct the ADU making an ADU an amazing investment for your property.

An ADU is extremely attractive to a potential buyer when you come to sell your property, it can be the cherry on top for the potential buyer to want to put in a higher offer knowing that they will be able to offset their mortgage payment with income given by the ADU.

2. Work space

If you find your home too noisy or too many distractions to work, a great idea can be to build an ADU. Enhance your productivity and be able to focus more on your business with your own personal space. An ADU can be transformed into an office, workshop or even an art studio. With the right landscaping, design and site planning you could even go as far as creating a separate entrance and parking for a more professional appearance for when clients or meetings are held at your new office.

An ADU is also perfect for if you have elderly grandparents or parents as it allows you to keep your freedom along with being able to spend quality time with them which they may prefer to a nursing home.

Having an ADU on your property can be a great place for your children as they grow up but need space/privacy. Your children will benefit as it is a great stepping stone for them to gain independence and a chance to save their money for their future.
